For me it's not about discipline it's all about Luck. This morning I was unlucky...slept thru the 4 am wake up call. I ended up just riding a quick 15 mile urban loop on canals and bike paths. August is out, September is INTERBIKE, October is my only hope for visiting. I'm accustomed to night riding but tried that a couple of times and got spanked by the heat - 97 degrees at 10:30pm!! It felt like a blow dryer in my face. Time to head to rim country. Wow - I guess it's not as hot as I thought in SLC! We have yet to crack 100 this summer. Thing is, when it gets too hot in the valley Park City is only a 45 minute drive away.
